Visit the Museum of Warsaw!
"Extraordinary stories of ordinary things" – that’s on the website of this museum.
Agreed, although many things in the Museum of Warsaw are very unusual. The museum is located in eight tenement houses on the northern frontage of the Old Town Square. From medieval cellars to the observation lantern on the roof, it presents visitors with the history of the Polish capital. In numerous cabinets (Archaeological, Plans and Maps, Clothing, etc.) we can find a women's chamber pot from the 18th century, a wonderful treasure of over a thousand silver coins discovered in the basement, priceless watches by Mr. Antoni Patek, a fragment of the robe of the last Masovian princes (brothers - supposedly poisoned by their common lover), a cigarette case of President Stefan Starzyński, a lemonade bottle of the famous Haberbusch and Schiele company (known mainly from delicious beer), a saucer with Pablo Picasso's autograph and priceless paintings... There is not enough space to list even a small part of the exhibits. For those tired of sightseeing, there is a café and a bookstore with unique souvenirs.
